Our Purpose
To lead the lost to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. To ground believers in the Bible for victorious living. To teach Christians to evangelize and disciple others.
Our Passion
“…to proclaim the excellence of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light.” The basis for our being and the foundation of our faith rests solely on the Lord Jesus Christ. We have discovered that excellence in living comes as a result of obeying God’s Word, and allowing Jesus Christ to be the focal point of our lives.
Our People
Color and social background are not issues at CBC. Everyone meets at the level ground of the cross, where the only thing that counts is that we are equally sinners and equally sons of God through Jesus Christ. We provide a unique opportunity for ministry for those who are serious about serving the Lord. Serving the Lord “with gladness” is a special blessing at CBC. Opportunities include ushering, working with the children and youth, choir and special music, church visitation, and Bible study opportunities.
Fellowship Sunday
The last Sunday of every month is Fellowship Sunday at CBC. We add a bit more music to our service, a time of praise & testimony, and great preaching. At the conclusion of the service, we come together for a time of fellowship over a great meal served on the grounds.
God’s Message to Us
- We are all sinners. “For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God.” Romans 3:23
- Our sin will send us to hell. “For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” Romans 6:23 “And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” Revelation 20:15
- Jesus died for us. “But God commendeth His love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” Romans 5:8
- We can be saved! “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9
- We can know it! ”These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.” I John 5:13
