As I see the trend toward Modernism and Liberalism in our churches; infidelity and immorality on the rise in our families; and our inner cities and poor neighborhoods being abandoned by fundamentalists, I see a desperate need for an institution like Community Bible Institute and Seminary. Because a local, independent, fundamental Baptist church sponsors our institute, no outside forces can pressure CBIS to change doctrine, policies, or practices contrary to the Word of God. The Great Commission as given by our Lord to the local church is “Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you…” (Matthew 28:20)

Our objective is to make a quality Christian education available to all, not just to those who can afford the time and money to attend a Christian College full time. I believe you will find our institute offers a Bible-based education that will strengthen your Christian faith and practice. I hope you will join us.

“For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ.” (Ephesians 4:12)

What makes Community Bible Institute & Seminary different?

  • There are some great Bible Institutes and Bible colleges that have not compromised in their doctrine.
  • There are some that have good standards.
  • Some still use the King James Bible.
  • Some are associated with a strong local church.

So what makes CBIS stand out from the rest?   While you are working on your degree, CBIS puts you in the middle of a mission field.

  • We are a “hands-on Bible Institute.”
  • You are working on a degree in education…then you work in a Christian school classroom.
  • You want to be a pastor…you are working at Community Baptist Church under me. You will be preaching at the chapel services at Good Samaritan Ministries.
  • You want to work with addiction…you sit in on counseling with men at Good Samaritan Ministries.
  • You are involved with Community Baptist Church, Good Samaritan Ministries, and Commonwealth Christian Academy.
  • We offer you a self-paced or classroom environment.

  • One-Year Certificate in Biblical Studies – $1,280.00
  • Associate’s Degree in Biblical Studies – $2,560.00
